Their usual hours are from 1 – 4 pm Tuesday through Saturday, but check before you visit. Admission is free and open to the public to enjoy interactive displays and learn about the estuaries. A free educational and worthwhile stop in Rockport is the Bay Education Center. It houses interactive exhibits related to science and the plant and animal life that live in the local habitats.

The Fulton Fishing Pier is home to a wide variety of fish and is a great spot for you to go fishing. One of the best ways to experience the Fulton Pier is to fish from it at night when the water lights up with green lights that attract fish.  Anglers catch a variety of fish, from redfish and speckled trout to large drum. While nighttime has a special appeal, you can fish from the pier during the daytime and have spectacular views of the bay and harbor. It’s free to visit the boardwalk, but there is a per-rod fishing fee. 

Goose Island State Park in Rockport provides an idyllic setting to experience the area's most exciting activities, such as fishing, kayaking, birdwatching, and more. Miles of hiking and biking trails provide opportunities to explore this beautiful state park. In addition, 100 camp+ sites are available. Goose Island State Park is open daily, and a small entrance fee is required for adults.

Step back into what the Fulton/Rockport area was like in the 19th Century at the Fulton Mansion State Historic Site. This exceptionally preserved home is renowned for its ornate detailing and roofing, inspired by the French Second Empire style. The historic home is open for tours from Tuesday through Sunday.
